Ballerific Guide: Four Steps Towards Positivity Starting With A Smile

There is a lot of things going on in the world but I want you to remember to smile. Here are four easy steps to make sure positivity wins! #GoodVibesOnly

Don’t Forget

Always keep your blessings in the front of your mind and on the tip of your tongue. The moment you forget your blessings both big and/or small, is the same moment you admit mental defeat. Force yourself to remember all the amazing things happening in your life. Remember all the things that has happened in the past and have faith that there are many more amazing things to come. It will take a conscious effort on your part but the results will be evident.

Gratefulness Goes a Long Way

Once you make it your business to always be aware of your blessings, the next step it to be grateful for them. Having gratefulness in your heart helps to create a foundation for a long lasting “anytime” smile. You see, gratefulness allows us to celebrate the present and it blocks negative thoughts and emotions. Keep a gratitude jar or gratitude journal if you must.

Protect Yourself from Comparison

My mentor in my head, Lisa Nichols, always says “comparison is the thief of all joy”. Have you been self sabotaging your happiness? Don’t get me wrong. It is more than ok to look at the lives of others as inspiration and/or motivation, gathering small gems in the process but it is not ok to look at someone’s life as your own destination or as an ideal life. Give yourself the space and opportunity to be the best you, you can be. You are exactly where you need to be sis.

Fall in Love with Your Story

Now that you’ve conquered the enemy of comparison, you are all about you, all the time. You are now in a place to fall in love with your story. This includes loving your strengths, your weaknesses, your flaws and everything else about yourself. Falling in love with your life and its story brings an unimaginable peace that you will never want to leave. Be patient with yourself but never allow room for complacency. You have nothing to loose, nothing to hide, nothing to defend and most importantly nothing to prove. So let your light shine and let your smile transcend all.
