Since their debut 39 years ago, Air Jordans have remained a hot commodity, and several of their most popular sneakers are heading back to shelves.Â
The long-running Nike conglomerate made famous by the richest basketball player in history, Michael Jordan, has delivered countless styles. However, the retros, which are re-releases of original Air Jordan models, hold a special place in the hearts of sneaker collectors. While the upcoming weeks will see multiple hot releases, such as the “Paris Olympics” Air Jordan 4 on July 27th and the “Wings” Air Jordan 3 on July 30th, fans will get another shot at several iconic retros in late 2024 and mid-2025.
“Black Toe” Air Jordan 14
The “Black Toe” Air Jordan 14s were first released in 1998. Since then, they’ve been re-released in 2006 and 2014. Now, this primarily white sneaker with a black tip and hints of red and silver will make its return on November 23rd.
“Black Cement” Air Jordan 3
The “Black Cement” Air Jordan 3 is another classic that will be reintroduced to the market on November 23rd. The sneaker debuted in 1988 and again in 1994, 2001, 2008, 2011, and 2018.Â
“UNC” Air Jordan 1 High
Another Air Jordan that will make its return next year is the “UNC” Air Jordan 1. The original was unveiled in 1985. The retro version does include several slight revisions but will still have the same overall look as the OG UNC’s. Superstar Michael Jordan first introduced the colorway to pay homage to the college that kicked off his career.  Fans can expect a release date sometime in Summer 2025.
“Melo” Air Jordan 12Â
First released in 2004 during Carmelo Anthony’s reign with the Denver Nuggets, the “Melo” Air Jordan 12 was an immediate hit. The “University Blue” and white colorway is set to remain on the sneaker, which will also get a Summer 2025 re-release date for the first time since it was initially unveiled.
“Aqua” Air Jordan 8
The “Aqua” Air Jordan 8 entered the world of sneakers in 1993. For years, these have been one of the most widely sought-after brands, mostly because Michael Jordan wore them during the NBA All-Star Game the same year of their debut. The retro style returned in 2007 and again in 2015. In Summer 2025, the shoes will be available for purchase ten years after their last release. Â
Each of these will appear on the Nike SNKRS app and will likely be available at several sneaker retailers nationwide. Given their legacy within the Jordan Brand, those looking to own a pair of these retros should be vigilant about purchasing them on the release dates, as it’ll likely be years before they arrive in stores again.
