Denver Nuggets PG Ty Lawson has a drinking and driving problem. He’s been arrested twice this year alone for his inability to assign himself a designated driver. In order to keep his job, he’s going to have to make some changes….fast!
A judge ruled today that Lawson must complete a 30-day residential treatment program. Lawson is said to be reporting to Cliffside Malibu on Saturday. Cliffside Malibu is a celebrity rehabilitation center that treats patients with addiction and psychiatric issues. Lindsey Lohan is just one of the famous names to grace the luxury rehab center.
Aside from Lawson’s DUI in Los Angeles, he still has to face his DUI in Colorado from January. When he was arrested in Colorado, a judge ordered him to not to drink alcohol or violate laws as part of his bond. We see how well that worked out. Today the judge ordered him to use a stationary blood-alcohol monitoring device once he completes his alcohol treatment.
