As if the Cavaliers (19-15) needed any more bad news, they announced earlier today that point guard, Kyrie Irving, will be out for back tightness.
Irving began having issues with his lower back during Friday’s game against Charlotte resulting in him being pulled out of the game today against Dallas (that they lost 109-90) during the third quarter. “It was tight in the Charlotte game…then I fell on it, which made it like 10 times worse,” said the point guard. He also said that this is not a familiar injury as he had already missed two games with a left knew bone bruise. Irving did not return to the game and will stay behind for Monday’s game against the Sixers.
As we mentioned earlier this week his teammate LeBron James, will miss two weeks of the season due to back and knee injuries after they’d already lost starting center, Anderson Varejao. I’ll keep the Cavs in heavy prayer as they continue to suffer tremendous loss of major players. The team has not spoken on Kyrie’s return.
