NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert series has become a beloved platform for showcasing artists’ raw talent and intimate performances across genres. Set against the backdrop of a cluttered office desk at NPR headquarters, these stripped-down performances offer a unique and personal glimpse into the artistry of musicians. From emerging indie acts to established legends, the Tiny Desk has hosted an array of artists we love or have come to know since watching their performances.

As this year’s lineup takes shape, we’ve got our fingers crossed that we’ll get to see these performers on Tiny Desk soon.

Missy Elliot: She would excel at a Tiny Desk performance due to her catchy beats, eclectic style, dynamic stage presence, and versatility, among genres. Her charisma and unique sound would captivate the intimate setting, creating an engaging experience for her fans.

Missy has won four Grammys, sold over 30 million records in the U.S., and holds the unique record of having six platinum-certified studio albums as a female rapper. Her influence and creative work make her perfect for a Tiny Desk performance.

Keyshia Cole: Her soulful voice, emotional depth in lyrics, and personal storytelling would translate beautifully in the intimate setting. Her authenticity and ability to connect with the audience on a deeper level could create a compelling and memorable experience for everyone.

Keyshia Cole has received numerous accolades, including multiple Grammy Award nominations, an ASCAP Award, and success on the Billboard charts. Her achievements highlight her talent and make her a compelling choice for a Tiny Desk performance.

Don Toliver: His ability to forge an emotional connection with the audience, expressed through his melodic blend of hip-hop and rhythm and blues, makes him a perfect match for delivering an intimate and unforgettable musical experience.

Emerging as a rising star, Don Toliver has earned industry recognition for his impactful musical contributions. Chart-topping singles like “No Idea” and “After Party” have amassed millions of streams, achieving remarkable commercial success. Impressively, three of his singles have earned RIAA Platinum certification, underscoring his widespread appeal and accomplishment in the music industry.
