In a perfect world, men and women would receive equal pay. African American women would be presented the same opportunities as their white counterparts. Rejection would be based on qualifications rather than race.
Unfortunately, this world is far from perfect, however, there are people, more specifically women, who have dedicated their time, money and education to make a positive change. They’ve used their experiences and their encounters with injustices to fight and/or create more opportunities for their children and their children’s children, in an effort to make the world a better place. They’ve put our pain and problems on their backs and created space for change, new opportunities for our brothers and sisters to excel and succeed in a world that is designed against us. This is #BlackExcellence. These are Ballerific Women. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
One of those special women is Ericka Pittman, who is best recognized as former Vice President of the Chairman’s Office of Blue Flame Agency, one of the eight businesses under (Sean) Comb Enterprises.
The Brooklyn born businesswoman, and soon to be author, earned her bachelor’s degree in communication from Benard Baruch College. Shortly after, she spent some time working as a music and entertainment manager for Vanguarde Media.
Though Pittman’s resume was quite impressive at that point, she was truly just getting started. Before becoming Diddy’s right-hand woman, she worked with huge media companies such as Time, Inc., Condè Nast, Vibe Media Group, and Radio One Inc.
According to an interview held with #xoNecole, during her time at Comb Enterprises, Pittman worked on the launch of Revolt TV, closed the deal on DeLeón Tequila for Combs Wines & Spirits, and lead the rebranding for AQUAhydrate. These projects were just a few of the many reasons #Diddy handpicked her himself to be his Vice President.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Miss Pittman even dabbled in television in 2014 where she starred in Bravo’s reality series, “The Singles Project.” The show followed the lives of six single, New York professionals as they worked their way through the dating scene.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Today, Ericka is the Chief Marketing Officer of AQUAhydrate, Diddy’s brand of water. Like her boss, Pittman plans to generate multiple forms of revenue while also developing a cosmetic line and writing a book.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
When she’s not in the office, Pittman serves as a member of the Women In Entertainment Empowerment Network and the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship. Talk about a girl boss!
