In a perfect world, people of color would be presented the same opportunities as their white counterparts. Unfortunately, this world is far from perfect, however, there are people, more specifically women, who have dedicated their time, money and education to make a positive change. They’ve used their experiences and their encounters with injustices to fight and/or create more opportunities for their children and their children’s children, in an effort to make the world a better place. This is #BlackExcellence. These are #BallerificWomen.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

One of those special individuals is #TraciAdams.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Adams started her career as an intern at LaFace Records in Atlanta while she attended Savannah State University. After graduating, she began working in the music business from Radio One’s WFUN/St. Louis to Island Def Jam Records as National Director of Promotion.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

In 2012, Adams joined Epic Records as Vice President of Promotion and then two years later promoted to Senior Vice President. In 2017, French Montana’s “Unforgettable,” DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” and Yo Gotti’s “Rake it Up” made history for the record label with being the first label to deliver three consecutive number one singles.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The President of Epic Records describes Traci as “a powerhouse in promotion,” and with her skills there’s no doubt in why she was named Executive Vice President of Promotion for Epic Records

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

As Vice President, Adams will oversee all promotional campaigns in the urban space for the label, including Urban, Hip hop and Adult Contemporary Formats.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
