Baltimore Ravens Linebacker Jaylon Ferguson Dies at 26

On Wednesday morning, the Baltimore Ravens team announced that linebacker Jaylon Ferguson had passed away. He was 26.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

The team took to Twitter to announce the devastating news, “We are profoundly saddened by the tragic passing of Jaylon Ferguson.

The tweet continues, “He was a kind, respectful young man with a big smile and infectious personality. We express our heartfelt condolences to Jaylon’s family and friends as we mourn a life lost much too soon.”

Ferguson’s agent, Safarrah Lawson, also released a statement.

“It’s with great sadness that we announce the passing of Baltimore Ravens LB Jaylon Ferguson. The family asks for your prayers and privacy during this trying time.”

Ferguson was drafted in 2019 to the Baltimore Ravens straight out of Lousiana Tech. He also got plenty of play time from the start. In his rookie season, he played 14 games in 2019, and in 2020 he also played 14 games. In his recent season, he played ten games.
