Gunna is quickly losing friends in the industry, and Bandman Kevo has just joined that growing list.
The influencer, who ironically calls himself “Tha Finesse God” on Twitter, is accusing Gunna of finessing him out of $250,000 that he paid for a feature. The Youtuber says he sent the “Pushin P” rapper the large lump sum last year under the guise that he was an authentic street rapper. But this was before Gunna was jailed along with Young Thug and other YSL members as part of a massive RICO case. Kevo says the incarceration put his feature on hold, but that is not the reason he is demanding a refund.
Kevo is accusing the 29-year-old of snitching on Thug to get out of jail early. Therefore, he says he can no longer release a record with someone capable of participating in such betrayal. The often transparent internet persona says he is ready to sue if he does not get his money back immediately.
I paid gunna last year for a feature 250k
And months later he got a caught case which put my feature and everything else got put on hold , just for him to get released and snitch 🤦🏾♂️I can't do a song with dude I need my bread back asap and if they cap im going big lawsuit💰— BANDMAN KEVO Tha Finesse God (@BandManKevo) February 7, 2023
Turning on Gunna comes as a surprise, considering that just weeks ago, Kevo sat down with Say Cheese, where he defended his collaborator for taking a plea deal.
“I don’t think he’s a snitch, bro, because he just took a plea agreement,” Kevo said. “We only would know if he’s a snitch depending on what he would get on stand and say.”
The single is titled “Alone.” Gunna and Kevo even shot a music video for the track. YSL rapper Lil Duke, who took the same plea deal as Gunna, is also featured on the single. Despite the effort put in, Kevo is not interested in aligning himself with the alleged “snitches.”
Gunna nor his team has responded publicly.
