Bankroll Freddie Sentenced to 12.5 Years in Federal Prison for Drug and Gun Charges

Bankroll Freddie, the Arkansas rapper behind popular tracks such as “Rich Off Grass” and “Add It Up,” has just been hit with a 12.5-year prison sentence.

Known off-stage as Freddie Demarus Gladney III, the rapper learned his fate this week after being found guilty for his role in a large-scale drug and weapons case in April. Specifically, his charges were marijuana possession and distribution, possession and distribution of a controlled substance, firearm possession in furtherance of drug trafficking, and using a communications facility for drug trafficking crimes. Freddie was picked up in 2022 as part of a federal sweep in Arkansas that targeted gangs Every Body Killas (EBK) and the Loady Murder Mobb. Freddie was allegedly a member of EBK, with its members making up over 30 of the arrests. His father, Freddie Gladney Jr., was also taken into custody. The rapper and other gang members were accused of “voluntarily and intentionally” conspiring together to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, meth, and marijuana, which funded their daily operations.

Freddie signed with Quality Control in 2019. His debut album, “From Trap to Rap,” followed in 2020, featuring appearances from Moneybagg Yo, Young Dolph and Lil Baby. One of his most notable singles, “Pop It,” was unveiled in 2021 and featured Megan Thee Stallion.
