Adored radio host Robin Ayers passed away at 44, leaving a profound sense of loss among the entire media community.
Ayers, a celebrated entertainment reporter and host at KBLA 1580 Talk Radio died on Thursday, December 5th.
“It is with profound sadness that KBLA Talk 1580 announces the passing of our beloved colleague Robin Ayers,” shared KBLA Radio host Tavis Smiley on behalf of her family in a heartfelt statement on Twitter. “Robin was a bright light. You could see her radiant smile through the radio. We all respected her immense talent, loved her jovial spirit,” Smiley continued, reflecting the sorrow felt across the KBLA family.

Since joining KBLA in March 2022, Ayers hosted “The RA Report with Robin Ayers,” where she shared her insights on entertainment news and conducted several celebrity interviews. Before KBLA, she was a reporter and correspondent at EURweb, The Jasmine Brand, and AfterBuzz TV. Her career also included appearances on BET, OWN Network, and Fox.
