Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez are now legally single, with the Los Angeles County Superior Court officially dissolving their marriage on Friday, February 21, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE.
Although the former couple settled their divorce on January 6, the legal proceedings have now concluded. Lopez, 55, filed for divorce on April 26, 2024, exactly two years after their Georgia wedding ceremony, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for their split. She requested no spousal support for either party and asked for her former name, Jennifer Lynn Lopez, to be restored.
Affleck, 52, and Lopez rekindled their romance in 2021, nearly two decades after their initial engagement. They married in an intimate Las Vegas ceremony in July 2022, followed by a lavish celebration in Georgia on August 20, 2022.
As part of their divorce settlement, the exes will split the profits from the sale of their Beverly Hills mansion, which they publicly listed in July 2024. While the percentage each will receive remains confidential, legal documents confirm the profit will be shared.
Despite their split, both stars remain busy with their respective careers. Lopez premiered her new movie musical, Kiss of the Spider Woman at the Sundance Film Festival in January, a film Affleck produced through his company Artists Equity. Meanwhile, Affleck recently starred in Dunkin’s Super Bowl commercial, alongside his brother Casey Affleck, Jeremy Strong, and former Patriots coach Bill Belichick. He is also set to return to the big screen in The Accountant 2, premiering at SXSW on March 8, before hitting theaters on April 25.
