Jen and Ben have called it quits again.
After two years of marriage, Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, marking the conclusion of Bennifer 2.0. TMZ reports that the singer filed the paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court on Tuesday, the same day the couple would have celebrated their second wedding anniversary.
The couple, who rekindled their romance in 2021 and married in 2022, had faced ongoing rumors of a split earlier this year. According to Lopez’s filing, the date of separation is listed as April 26, 2024. She submitted the paperwork independently, without an attorney, and requested that neither party receive spousal support.
Speculation about their relationship first emerged in May 2024, when it was reported that the couple had started attending therapy. Although neither Lopez nor Affleck addressed the rumors directly, Affleck was seen without his wedding ring shortly after, and reports surfaced that he had moved out of their Beverly Hills home.
The pair spent much of summer 2024 apart, with Lopez taking a solo vacation to Europe while Affleck remained in Los Angeles. They also put their $60 million Beverly Hills mansion on the market, further signaling a possible separation.
This marks the end of their rekindled relationship, which began two decades after they first met and got engaged in the early 2000s.
