In the wake of Betty White’s passing, fans and fellow comedians share their goodbyes alongside some of their favorite memories of the T.V. and film icon, who died just weeks before her 100th birthday.
Producers of Betty White: 100 Years Younger, a documentary that was to be screened for one night solely in theaters on White’s one centesimal birthday January 17, stated Friday the present would go on to honor the enduring actress, who died December 31.
“Our hearts mourn immediately with the passing of Betty White,” producers Steve Boetcher and Mike Trinklein claimed in a statement on the Fathom Functions website page endorsing the screening, which was to include the exhibiting of the doc and reside footage of what would have been White’s 100th birthday celebration.
“During the lots of years we labored with her, we produced a great like and adoration for Betty as an individual, and as a completed entertainer,” they additional. “We are thankful for the many decades of delight she brought to everybody. Betty general claimed she was the ‘luckiest broad on two feet’ to have had a career as long as she did. And honestly, we were the lucky ones to have experienced her for so extended.
“We will go forward with our programs to clearly show the movie on January 17 in hopes our film will deliver a way for all who beloved her to celebrate her life — and experience what produced her these types of a countrywide treasure.”
White was the lone surviving member of the four famed on-screen friends that starred in the Primetime Emmy award-winning show “Golden Girls.” She is also best known for her role as Sue Ann Nivens in the classic sitcom “The Mary Tyler Moore Show.” More recently, White starred as Elka Ostrovsky on the T.V. series “Hot in Cleveland.”
Ryan Reynolds, Tina Fey, Robert Redford, Lin Manuel-Miranda, Clint Eastwood, Morgan Freeman, Jay Leno, Carol Burnett, Craig Ferguson, Jimmy Kimmel, Valerie Bertinelli, James Corden, Wendy Malick, and Jennifer Love Hewitt are among the these showcased to converse about White’s iconic profession.
