Two of the biggest stars have reportedly teamed up for the recreation of a 1959 classic.
According to The Sun, sources say Beyoncé and Zendaya are in talks to remake Douglas Sirk’s classic 1959 melodrama “Imitation of Life.”
Beyonce, 40, and the “Euphoria” star, 25, previously worked together six years when they made a music video and are allegedly eager to work together again.
“Imitation of Life,” is based on the best-selling novel by Fannie Hurst and is about a white woman who takes in an African-American widow and her daughter, Sarah Jane, who can pass as White due to her fair skin.
It originally starred Lana Turner, Juanita Moore, and Sandra Dee.
It’s been said that Beyoncé is interested in producing the flick but unclear if she would also appear in the film. Zendaya would likely play the character of Sarah Jane, the New York Post reported.
“Everyone wants Zendaya in their films at the moment but it feels like this could be the movie to take her to the next level and really get some awards buzz,” a source told the Sun.

This is foul on so many levels. Beyonce is an entertainer, not an actress. Leave well enough alone. Please.
