Beyoncé is one of the world’s most prominent artists, and the Grammy’s most nominated artist is certainly a big deal. Ice Spice recently shared that this year’s Grammys was more of a Bey meet-and-greet than an award ceremony. Despite being the top celebrity to her fellow celebrities, the Houston icon has no issue showing love to other women he admires in the industry. This has most widely been seen in her tradition of sending flowers to celebrate the achievements of others. This week, the “Country Carter” star sent flowers to the University of South Carolina women’s team and Coach Dawn Staley, who led the team to its NCAA Division 1 championship.
“To Coach Staley and the entire South Carolina Gamecocks: Me and my family watched your games and cheered you on through the entire season. I’m so proud of you,” wrote Bey in the card addressed to Staley. She also sent the team custom merch following their big win.
This sweet gesture has been shared by many in the industry, who have revealed their own flower deliveries from the Queen. Several florists have estimated to the New York Times that Bey is spending anywhere from $200 to $350 on each of these arrangements. While these gifts typically follow an achievement of some kind, they are also a testament to Bey’s desire to give people their flowers while they are still here.
