Beyoncé’s scheduled concert in Pittsburgh as part of her Renaissance World Tour in August has been canceled.
The cancellation was announced by the Acrisure Stadium Twitter account, citing issues with scheduling and production logistics as the reasons behind the decision.
“Due to production logistics and scheduling issues, unfortunately, the August 3rd Pittsburgh stop of the RENAISSANCE WORLD TOUR will not be taking place. Refunds will automatically be issued at point of purchase. If you have any questions or issues regarding your ticket order, please contact your point of purchase.”
As stated on the Acrisure Stadium website, the only event listed for the months of July and August is Ed Sheeran’s Mathematics Tour, scheduled for July 8.
While Beyoncé’s concert in Pittsburgh has been canceled, she will still be performing in nearby locations. Her concert is set to take place in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on July 29 and in Washington, D.C., on August 5.
Pittsburgh Mayor Ed Gainey released a statement on Twitter, saying:
“Pittsburgh — we are deeply disappointed in the news that Beyoncé has canceled her performance on August 3. We were fully prepared to welcome her to Pittsburgh and honor her with an official day recognizing her visit and accomplishments.
“We are in conversations with the promoter for the event in order to gain an understanding about what led to the cancellation, and if there is anything we can do as a city to find a new date or location for her show.”
