Saturday night’s Cowboy Carter Tour show at Houston’s NRG Stadium was full of energy, emotion, and one unforgettable scare. As Beyoncé soared above the crowd in a red velvet-wrapped Cadillac during her powerful “16 Carriages” performance, things suddenly went wrong.

The car, which typically glides smoothly across the stadium, began to tilt awkwardly as it passed over fans. In a fan-captured video, Beyoncé is seen continuing to sing before bringing the show to a halt as she hovered overhead.
Audience members watched in stunned silence while security and crew members quickly sprang into action. Several team members scaled the setup to unbuckle her and lower the car back to safety. Once back on solid ground, the queen didn’t miss a beat, returning to the stage and reassuring her hometown crowd with, “I know if I fall, y’all will catch me.”
Parkwood Entertainment, Beyoncé’s management company, later confirmed that the moment was the result of a “technical mishap.” The incident occurred during a stunt meant to offer fans an up-close moment while showcasing a montage of her career on massive arena screens.
Despite the temporary scare, Beyoncé kept the night moving, delivering a stellar performance to her Houston fans. The tour continues with a second show in the city on Sunday and will make its way to Washington, D.C., for her anticipated Fourth of July performance. The Cowboy Carter Tour is scheduled to wrap on July 26th in Las Vegas.
As always, Beyoncé turned a tense moment into a testament to grace and professionalism, proving once again why she’s still on top.
