Beyonce Named One Of Fortune’s Most Powerful Women

Fortune.com rounded out their Top 50 Most Powerful Women featuring several high profile women. The list included 53 year old Mary Mack, the Senior EVP and Head of Community Banking at Wells Fargo, as well as Indra Nooyi the 60 year old CEO of PepsiCo.

Though Fortune usually only provides 50 women a spot on this list, they couldn’t pass up the opportunity to show love to Queen Bey.

Coming in at number 51, Beyonce at 35 would have been the youngest woman on the list. They highlight the fact that Bey made history when she became the first female artist to have 12 songs on the Billboard top 100 (all from Lemonade), her high grossing Formation World Tour, her investment into WTRMLN WTR, a female-founded watermelon-water startup, and her management company, Parkwood Entertainment, adding a music label to its list of services. There’s no doubt that Beyonce has spent the last year working heavily and it shows.

Even though she was an added bonus, this will mark Beyonce’s first time making the list. She’s also one of three African American women to make this year’s list.
