Beyonce plays no games when it comes to her BeyHive. Tuesday night, Beyonce took to the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC for the Formation World Tour. Unfortunately for Bey and her fans, the weather did not want to cooperate.
Rain threatened the show, pouring down on fans as they sat in the uncovered arena. However, that didn’t stop a thing. Beyonce gladly performed her set, full out, despite being drenched. “If y’all are in the rain, I’m in the rain,” she told fans in between her set.
As the weather worsened and lightning began to strike, the show was postponed. Fans were rushed into the arena for shelter, some even going back to their cars. However at around 11:20pm, the skies cleared a bit and Beyonce was able to complete her show. Only one major problem though, she still had an hour left of her set and that would unfortunately take her over the time limit.
It’s rumored that the fine was $1,000 per every minute Beyonce went over her time, which means that Queen Bey shelled out 60 Grand just to give fans a complete show. If that isn’t worthy of some praise, I don’t know what is. Anyone else would have went home and called it a day. Not many people are performing in the rain and THEN staying late.
