With news of Demetrius “Big Meech” Flenory’s release to a halfway house, many of his supporters are patiently counting down the days until he is entirely freed from federal custody.
One focal point that many online have expressed excitement about is Meech’s welcome home party. Known for throwing the most extravagant events in his heyday, everyone from Akbar V to Sexyy Red is ready to see what he puts together. With his life portrayed in Starz’s “BMF” series, it is believed that 50 Cent will be instrumental in planning this lavish shindig, along with his son, Demetrius Flenory Jr., who depicts him in the show. While no such affair has been announced, social media is sure it is in the works.
One of Meech’s most notable parties featured live lions and tigers. This particular occasion has been the subject of hip-hop mystique for years, with Pusha T famously rapping “Where were you when Big Meech brought the tigers in? ‘Cause I was busy earnin’ stripes like a tiger’s skin,” on his track “If You Know You Know.”
Pusha T and rapper Fabolous would undoubtedly be among the attendees. The New York rapper was cool with Meech before his incarceration. In the years that followed, Fab regularly shouted out Meech on social media and in music. Another potential partygoer, Rick Ross, also famously rapped “I think I’m Big Meech, Larry Hoover,” on his hit single, “BMF.”

Another key figure who would presumably turn up to Meech’s welcome home party is Jeezy. The pair were close friends in the early 2000s. Like Fab, Jeezy is another artist who has kept Meech’s name alive in music and interviews. He has also been seen with the kingpin’s family at different times over the years.
Fellow Detroit star Kash Doll, who was previously in the “BMF” series, recently praised Meech. As she explained on the “Bootleg Kev” podcast, Kash believes people should celebrate following his lengthy bid. With their shared hometown, Kash is sure to secure a spot on the guest list.
While Meech will reportedly be in a halfway house for at least a year, his return to entertainment and culture will surely be an extravaganza fit for a King.
