Bill Cosby has stopped taking showers behind bars because he’s afraid of getting COVID-19.
According to the Daily Mail, the convicted comedy legend told them, “As of now, I have declined to take any showers, and I have decided to take wash-ups in my cell. This is the best way for me to stay safe and healthy.”
The once-beloved TV icon revealed he’s now under lockdown 20 hours a day after a coronavirus outbreak happened in his unit. He also said he gets tested for the virus daily.
Cosby is focused on staying healthy if his latest bid to get his conviction overturned is successful.
The 83-year-old, who is serving a three- to 10-year sentence, said he is “very, very hopeful’’ that his 2018 conviction for sexual assault will be overturned.
