Congratulations are in order for Brian Hill of Jail Education Solutions. Miller Lite Tap the Future Live Pitch Tour made it’s way to the Motor City . Five regional teams of entrepreneurs presented their ideas at the Garden Theatre to the judging panel that included Daymond John of ABC’s “Shark Tank”, Detroit’s director of innovation and entrepreneurship, Jill Ford, founders of WeDidIT and former Miller Coors Business grant recipients, Sulaiman Sanni and Ben Lamson.
It would be Jail Education Solutions that would clinch victory. Jail Education Solutions works directly with inmates to provide them with the vocational and educational opportunity during incaceration. Unlike some programs, Jail Education Solutions allows participants the opportunity to continue their success after release. This facet allows participants the opportunity to be able to contribute positively in society. Hill didn’t just walk away with the regional honor. Pending a background check, Hill will receive $20,000 for the advancement of his business as well as compete in the final round for a whopping $200,000.
BA salutes Bill Hill as well as the other teams that competed- Candle with a Cause (Columbus, OH), ManScore (Chicago, IL), Miracle Novelty- The munchkin Stand (Menomonee, WI) and Therapals (Sidney, OH).
Check some of the photos out.
