Earlier this week, Rick Ross released his “Rather You Than Me” album, which was teased by a track called “Idols Become Rivals” that took aim at Birdman, claiming he had shady business practices. The song became the most talked about track on the album, as it referred to the money Birdman owes his artists and many other high profile situations.
Birdman has since responded to Rick Ross’ song and says that Ross is using his name to sell records.
Sources close to Birdman tell TMZ that the music mogul is pissed. The source says Birdman feels the entire track was a lame publicity stunt to boost record sales and he doesn’t appreciate the disrespect.
I wonder if “Idols Become Rivals” has been a long time in the making. Rick Ross has been taking subtle shots at Birdman over the last year and a half. He’s made a few comments towards Birdman on The Breakfast Club. Now that it’s on wax, I’m curious to see what happens next.
