On this day, we would like to send a very special Happy 27th Birthday shout out to Chris Brown! To celebrate his birthday, I’ve decided to take you down memory lane with a list of MY top 10 favorite tracks.
Chris Brown has graced us with countless hits from his albums as well as features on other artist’s records. Over the years, we have watched Chris grow musically since his debut back in 2005.Â
Chris Brown has even went to the big screen with some of our faves like This Christmas, Stomp the Yard and Takers. Thank you for sharing your talent with us. We truly appreciate the hard work you have put into your music. Happy Birthday Chris Brown!
Let’s check out some of my faves in NO PARTICULAR ORDER below:
1. Chris Brown- Run It (2005)
Â
2. Chris Brown- Yo (2005)
3. Chris Brown- Poppin (2005)
4. Chris Brown feat. Lil’ Wayne- Gimme That (2005)
5. Chris Brown- Say Goodbye (2005)
Chris Brown’s self-titled album had major hits, which was only the beginning of a promising career for the talented artist. Run it, Yo, Say Goodbye, Gimme That, and Poppin’ was definitely my favorite songs from this album. For this to be his debut album, he had songs that has us still singing 11 years later.Â
6. Chris Brown- Take You Down (2007)
This live performance of Chris Brown was definitely one of my faves. I loved the dancing and showing us how he takes it down. I wish I could have been there for this one of kind performance. How could you not love this song…
7. Chris Brown feat. T-Pain- Kiss Kiss (2007)
8. Chris Brown feat. Tyga and Kevin McCall (2011)
Deuces was truly a hit and had everyone chucking the deuces. No need to sit around in an unhappy situation with your significant other. If he/she is not doing what they are supposed to be doing, just tell them Deuces.
9. Jordin Sparks feat. Chris Brown- No Air (2007)
I first heard the song No Air on an episode of The Game when Melanie was knocking on Derwin’s door of his apartment not knowing that Janae was pregnant on the other side. This song was always a personal fave. I felt every lyric in the song.
10. Chris Brown- She Ain’t You (2011)
She Ain’t You was the perfect tribute to the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. I remember every time the video came on I was in front of the t.v. trying to imitate all of the dances.Â
I know Chris Brown has so many hit records. So many that we would be typing all day trying to include every single song. I wanted to celebrate his birthday with some classic songs as well as throwback since it is Throwback Thursday. What are some of your favorite Chris Brown songs?
