Sacramento Theological Seminary and Bible College recently honored Blac Chyna with an honorary doctorate in humanities.
Chyna, who prefers her real name, Angela White, received the award earlier this year. However, she formally accepted the honor during a ceremony on Sunday. During her acceptance speech, White tearfully spoke on her journey with changing her life and doing better for her children.
“God has never given up on me,” she said. “I’ve been through a lot in my life, and he’s been changing my life.”
White added, “I want to continue to walk in this light and learn and grow and be an inspiration to my family, my friends, and my kids.”
The 35-year-old also posted a clip from the ceremony to Instagram, saying, “The degree of Doctor of Humanities is an honorary degree awarded to those who have distinguished themselves through humanitarian and philanthropic contributions to society.”
White has been open about her ongoing personal transformation and dedication to changing her lifestyle. In March, she publicly announced her decision to have her breast and buttock enhancements removed, along with the dissolution of fillers in her face.
Additionally, White bravely shared her experiences of being baptized and deciding to remove a tattoo depicting Baphomet, a goat-headed deity symbol often associated with Satanism.
“Honestly, I just got sick and tired of being sick and tired,” she explained. “I just honestly wasn’t living my life right, and I was just attracting all this negativity. I wanted to honestly dig deep and really see, like, ‘What’s my purpose? Like why am I even here? Why am I here on Earth?’ and just really find myself.”
