A new 10-episode docuseries, Black Comedy in America, premieres October 15 at 10PM ET/PT on VICE TV.
Hosted by comedians Tiffany Haddish, Chris Spencer, and Ryan Davis, the series takes an in-depth look at over a century of Black comedy and its influence on American culture.

The series includes appearances from prominent figures like Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle, Will Smith, Tracy Morgan, and more.
Black Comedy in America also explores the legacy of shows like Def Comedy Jam, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, and Black sitcoms from the ‘70s, while examining the influence of Jim Crow segregation and the significance of the “Chitlin’ Circuit.”
The series is executive produced by Tiffany Haddish, Chris Spencer, and others, and directed by Julian Gooden, Leslie Small, and FredAnthony Smith. Black Comedy in America airs on VICE TV, available via major cable providers and streaming on the VICE TV app.
