Back in June, Van Johnson of “Black In Crew: Chicago” released his Chicago-based fashion line, Chicagorilla, and filmed the launch for the popular show.
However, one month later, Viacom received a legal letter from two brothers, who claimed to own the rights to the logo design. In the letter, Faheem and Falaah Shabazz demanded the corporation cough up the cash for the logo, or nix the scene.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But now, after months of back and forth, Johnson has filed legal documents of his own, to settle the issue once and for all.
In new docs obtained by The @Blast, Johnson has accused the Shabazz duo of slander, assault, and interference with a business for their antics.
The reality star says he got into business with another Shabazz brother, Suraqah, and together, the two launched the urban fashion line. However, when their partnership dissolved, Johnson kept the business for himself.

But, when Johnson made it on to “Black Ink Crew: Chicago,” and created a lucrative opportunity for the brand, the brothers wanted back in and ignited the legal war.

Now though, Johnson says they are taking things too far, and he is in “legitimate fear” for his safety, especially since receiving an ominous call to “watch his back,” because they were “coming for him.”

As a result, Johnson is suing for unspecified damages, for the lost business deals and his tarnished reputation over their false statements.
