#BlackTwitter is unleashing on the forthcoming “Karen” movie for being a poor man’s version of Jordan Peele’s 2017 hit film, “Get Out.”
Since the release of “Get Out,” many films have tried to recreate its magic, including “Antebellum” and Amazon Prime series “Them,” though none have lived up to their social commentary thriller predecessor.
In the official trailer, Karen, actress Taryn Manning, is seen terrorizing her new Black neighbors to force them out of the neighborhood.
Take a look at some of Twitter’s best reactions to the Jordan Peele knock-off. Needless to say, they weren’t feeling it.

Dear Hollywood, Hear me out: STOP trying to duplicate Jordan Peele’s work. It can’t be done lol.

I just finally saw the trailer for that KAREN 'horror' movie. I can't stop laughing.
Its unbelievably cringe! Its like someone took every woke stereotype and fear mongering about race relations and put it into a blender without nuance or subtlety.
No surprise its from BET. 🤦🏿♂️ pic.twitter.com/W5MbiaKwgP— Juno Maxwell (@Goddess_Maxwell) June 22, 2021

I dead ass could not take the Karen movie trailer seriously. Over the top acting. Cheesy, on the nose writing. I didn't think it was a real movie until I looked it up online. pic.twitter.com/KZkEQGttC2
