Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus has revealed new details about his battle with Stage 4 lymphoma.
During a Twitch live stream, the 49-year-old rocker revealed that he has “diffuse large B-cell lymphoma Stage 4-A.”
In the live stream that was recorded and uploaded to Youtube, Hoppus was bravely open with his fans, sharing details about his diagnosis and his current treatment methods.
“My classification is diffuse large B-cell lymphoma Stage 4-A, which means, as I understand it, it’s entered four different parts of my body,” Hoppus told fans.
“I don’t know how exactly they determine the four-part of it,” he explained, “but it’s entered enough parts of my body that I’m Stage 4, which I think is the highest that it goes. So, I’m Stage 4-A.”
Hoppus also told fans that he had a doctor’s appointment scheduled for the next day to determine whether or not chemotherapy was working.
Hoppus has yet to post any additional updates.
