The entire Carter family has officially entered the Billboard charts all at once. Following a record-setting chart entry for JAY-Z with “MOOD 4 EVA” and a top-five Billboard 200 debut for Beyoncé, Blue Ivy Carter joins her parents on the charts. In fact, the eldest Carter heir is now the youngest person ever to chart on the Billboard Hot 100, at the age of seven.
Beyoncé, Saint Jhn, and Wizkid’s single “Brown Skin Girl,” from The Lion King soundtrack featured Blue and debuted at No. 76 on the Hot 100 as of August 3; earning the mini-protege her first entry on the list.
According to Nielsen, the track debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 54,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending July 25.
Blue’s mom, Beyoncé, has appeared on the Billboard Hot 100 63 times as a soloist, the fourth-most of any woman, according to Billboard. Fourteen of her appearances were with Destiny’s Child, and five others were alongside her husband, Jay-Z.
Jay has also had an impressive run on the Billboard charts. The chart reports his placement at 100 times as a soloist, the fifth-most of any solo act, male or female. The 100th single… “Mood 4 Eva.”
Congratulations to Blue Ivy and the Carter family for dominating the charts, together!
