"BMF" Officially Canceled at Starz — 50 Cent Trolls Lil Meech's Alleged Unemployment Status

"BMF" and 50 Cent

50 Cent is showing once again that he is a master troll. After news broke that Starz officially canceled the crime drama “BMF,” the executive producer took to Instagram to send a shot at the show’s lead actor, Lil Meech.

The rapper shared a photoshopped image of Meech holding a sign that read “Out of Work.” He captioned the post with a mocking jab: “What next season little [ninja].”

In another Instagram post, he uploaded a screenshot of an article confirming the cancellation, this time with Lil Meech’s face blurred out. The caption read, “You know the vibes, spin-offs on the way,” signaling that the story of the Black Mafia Family may continue in new directions.

“BMF” originally premiered on Starz in 2021 and quickly became one of the network’s most talked-about series. It followed the real-life rise of the Black Mafia Family, a powerful drug empire that emerged from Detroit in the 1980s. Demetrius “Lil Meech” Flenory Jr., who played his own father Big Meech, led a cast that included Da’Vinchi, Russell Hornsby, La La Anthony, Steve Harris, Michole Briana White, and more.

Over its four-season run, the show also attracted major guest appearances from hip-hop and entertainment heavyweights like Snoop Dogg, Mo’Nique, 2 Chainz, Saweetie, and Wood Harris. The final episode of Season 4 aired in August, and although ratings remained steady, Starz made the decision to end the series.

The cancellation comes despite the show being one of several successful collaborations between 50 Cent and Starz under his G-Unit Film and Television banner. While fans may be disappointed to see “BMF” end, there is still hope. Sources say spinoffs are still in development, though the details are unknown.
