22 year old Bobbi Kristina has spent the last few months in a hospital in a medical induced coma after being face down in a tub of water on January 31st. Today it is being reported that her father, Bobby Brown, has filed for guardianship over her estate.
Before Houston passed away, she named Bobbi Kristina her sole heir in her will and her aunt Pat Houston the executor. Whitney’s will is on file in Fulton County. In the will Whitney spelled out how distributions would be made. Bobbi Kristina would receive 1/10 of the then principal of Whitney’s estate when she turned 21 and 1/6th of the then principal when she turned 25. When Bobbi Kris was to reach 30 she would receive the remaining principal along with accrued and undistributed income.
Since the news of Bobby Brown’s filing broke, Cissy Houston’s attorney has released a statement. “This is a family matter involving sensitive information. We hope to resolve this in a manner that is respectful of Bobbi Kristina’s sensitive health information. The Houston family has always looked out for the best interest of Bobbi Kristina Brown. The family has done so all of her life and will continue to do so. We trust that others have the same objective.”
