A documentary chronicling Bobby Brown’s journey through the music industry, as well as his personal life, is set to air in two parts, starting on Monday. Some never before heard details from the singer’s life have been revealed ahead of the premiere.
The documentary goes into the New Edition member’s marriage to the late Whitney Houston. Brown reveals that he was nervous about marrying the pop superstar. According to his current wife, Alicia Etheredge-Brown, he was so scared that he refused to come out of the bathroom at the ceremony.
“My friend was talking to his fiancé and had mentioned that Bob didn’t want to come out of the bathroom,” said Etheredge-Brown, who was in attendance. “I was in there drinking… smoking… sniffing,” Brown added.Â
Brown said he feared that Houston’s love for him did run as deep as his did for her. Brown and Houston were married for 14 years. They shared a daughter, Bobbi Kristina, who tragically passed away in 2015.
Other topics the doc touches on are a sexual encounter the R&B shared with Madonna and that he had a crush on Janet Jackson. Brown reveals he was attracted to the “I Get Lonely” singer’s “little smile, body, her dance moves,” and “her little laugh.”
Biography: Bobby Brown is set to air on A&E on Monday and Tuesday at 8 p.m.
