Over the years, the LGBTQIA+ community has adopted its own traditions, ideologies, bars and even terms. Baller Alert caught up with Singer/ Rapper and Love & Hip Hop star Bobby Lytes to define a few terms while having a “Ki.”
Bobby let us know that “Gag” simply means, “You’re shocked and impressed.” He let us know that “Kiki” involves “Having a laugh and a gander with friends,” while “Butch Queen” is basically a boy who can give off feminine and masculine behavior.”
“Top,” “verse,” and “bottom” became the topic of discussion as Bobby informed everyone that “Tops are extinct and rare,” verse people “love both,” and bottoms represent “the more feminine energy in the relationship.”
He didn’t stop there. He went on to define the term “chop,” stating, “Chop is a hard no and you are not getting out of it.”
With the snap of his fingers to accompany his evil tone, Bobby blurted the word “clocked.” Like most terms that are used in the community, Bobby shared that Clocked has more than one meaning.
“Fish,” said Bobby. “Fish is very much as pure passable. Fish basically means woman,” said Bobby.
Similar to the word top, Bobby shared that “trade” is also his favorite word. “Trade is a man who is not out of the closet. Doesn’t intend on coming out of the closet and a man who has taken a lot of money from me in the past,” said Bobby.
“Banjee” and “cunt” were the last of the two. Bobby lets us know that Banjee is a little bit of ratchet, with a sprinkle of fabulous, yet a “hood bitch.” Lastly, he defined cunt as not only him and Queen Bey – Beyonce, but he let us know that “Cunt means you’re tea, you’re sickening, and you are it.”
