15 members of Bobby Shmurda’s GS9 gang were arrested yesterday and more details have become available.
20 year old Ackquille Pollard aka Bobby Shmurda is currently being held on $2 million bail after being indicted on 1 count of conspiracy in the 2nd degree, 3 counts of conspiracy in the 4th degree, 1 count of 2nd degree reckless endangerment, 2 counts of 2nd degree criminal possession of a weapon and 1 count of 2nd degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
Multiple task force members worked on investigating the GS9 crew and shootings in Flatbush, Brooklyn. Bobby Shmurda and rapper Rowdy Rebel, who both signed deals with Epic Records over the summer, are among the members who were investigated. Rowdy Rebel, 23, is currently facing charges of conspiracy in the 2nd degree, 2 counts of conspiracy in the 4th degree, attempted murder, attempted assault, 2 counts of reckless endangerment and 4 counts of criminal possession of a weapon. NYC Narcotics prosecutor says that Rowdy Rebel was allegedly involved in a shooting and later that night, performed at the Barclays Center in the same clothes.
Shmurda and his crew were allegedly busted with 21 guns at the time of their arrest. It was previously reported that Sha Money XL was also part of the arrest but after a statement from the rapper, that is not true. “I was not arrested. They held me until they searched the studio then let me go,” Sha Money explained in a statement. “I signed these kids to give them a better way in life not to be dragged down by the media and gunned down by the 40 cops that raided the studio and pointed guns at me for working my job. You have no idea how this makes me feel or look when I’m one of the only few black men signing black artist from the streets and giving them a chance to do better in life.”
