According to his mother, it looks like incarcerated rapper Bobby Shmurda could be coming home as early as next month.
On Monday, Leslie Pollard posted her son to her Instagram for Man Crush Monday. In the caption, she hinted that the rapper would be home in February.
“My #MCM….. I am counting down, just wishing we could run straight to February right quick. The come back will be Epic!!!” she wrote. “I can’t wait to hug my child it had been almost a year anxiety is getting the best of me.”
Rumors started to swirl that Bobby would be released on February 23 when The New York Times reported back on January 4 that he would be eligible for conditional release. He was denied parole back in September but is qualified to finish out the rest of his sentence on parole for good behavior, as long as he has no other infractions between now and then.
Shmurda, who is currently incarcerated at New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility, was sentenced to seven years in 2016 after pleading guilty to conspiracy and weapons possession.
