Bobby Shmurda, who is already serving a 7-year sentence in Riker’s Island, is adding on to his rap sheet.

While in jail, Shmurda’s girlfriend brought him a homemade shank. Unfortunately, as she tried to reach under her bra to hand the rapper the contraband, she got caught.  Shmurda, real name Ackquille Pollard, and his girlfriend, Kimberly Rousseau, were both indicted on perjury, weapons possession and promoting prison contraband. However, Shmurda was offered a deal that apparently he couldn’t refuse.

In January, the Brooklyn native was presented with an offer to take one to four years in exchange for a reduced charge of “attempted promoting prison contraband.” The one to four years will run concurrently with the seven-year sentence he is already serving. The rapper was sentenced today, April 7, to up to four years.

“Pollard has now resolved all of his legal matters and looks forward to getting back with his career,” his attorney told reporters after sentencing Friday.
