Body of Missing Houston Man Taylour Young Found in the Trunk of His Own Car at Dallas Impound Lot

The body of a missing young Houston man was found in the trunk of his own vehicle in a different Texas city.

Taylour Young, 25, was last seen on Dec. 9 driving a 2019 Silver Honda Civic, NBC News reports. Young was in the area of 1600 block of South Voss Road, police say. His mother, Tiffany Robinson, had been texting Young the day he disappeared, saying she became worried when he didn’t respond to her texts. 

She ended up using an app to track his phone, and it showed that his car was in the bushes near a bank off Voss Road. The same day he went missing, Young’s car had also gone missing as well, Robinson says. Officers from the Dallas Police Department found his body in the trunk of his car at an impound lot in Dallas on Jan. 19, the Houston Police Department said on Monday, NBC News reports. Police say no details yet point to how his car got there.

When his body was found, it was in “an advanced state of decomposition,” the Dallas Police Department said. The Houston Police Department’s homicide division and the Dallas Police Department have launched investigations into his death. 

Young worked in accounting and was a graduate of Sam Houston University. His family has been using the hashtag #BringTaylourHome to raise awareness around his case. His friends are also looking for answers. 

“I just want to know what happened. I want to know who would do something like this to him,” Autumn Beviacqua said to KPRC, NBC News reports. “He was proud of the things he had, the things he accomplished. He was proud of his friends, his family and he loved to skateboard … literally always had a smile on his face.”
