Back in April 2017, Lil Boosie was reportedly arrested and charged in connection with an incident involving a police officer at the Edgewater Mall in Mississippi. Since then, the rapper has filed a lawsuit against all parties involved, including the city’s police department.
In legal docs obtained by the @blast, the incident occurred last year inside of a Dillard’s department store. While there, according to Boosie, a Biloxi police officer attacked him and his family with racial slurs, and even pepper sprayed them, which prompted the rapper to sue.

However, in the wake of Boosie’s lawsuit, the city of Biloxi says it wants no parts of the rapper’s lawsuit. In fact, the city’s police department believes it should be removed from the filing, all together.

In its response, according to the publication, the department detailed the incident, where the rapper was charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct; interference with a business, which led to his Dec. 4 arrest.

In the incident, officials say Boosie “disrupted the flow of normal business inside Dillard’s,” and allegedly hit a guard outside the mall. However, in regards to Boosie’s claims, the department says the officer involved was a “plain clothes” officer, who was not on duty at the time of the incident.

Although the department believes Boosie’s crew attacked the “plain clothes” cop in the incident, officials say they shouldn’t be held responsible because the cop wasn’t on duty. However, Boosie’s issue with the department goes far beyond the racial slurs and pepper spray. In fact, the rapper claims the officer’s actions caused his pregnant cousin to give birth prematurely to two babies who now have respiratory issues.

Boosie is due back in court next month.
