Boosie Badazz is ready to take his IG beef with Mark Zuckerberg to court. The rapper claims Instagram banned his account because he’s Black, and now he’s prepared to sue for 20 million dollars.
According to TMZ, Boosie claims he was the victim of racial discrimination when Instagram put him in social media timeout back in August, and he says he’s suing the multi-billionaire Zuckerberg, who owns Facebook and Instagram, for $20 million.
The Louisiana rapper believes the IG ban has caused some of his business ventures to fail. He estimates the $20 million figure is what he lost when his original IG account was deactivated.
Boosie made a public plea over the summer, asking Mark “Zuckinberger” to reinstate his account after Instagram shut him down for repeatedly violating certain policies. While IG never said outright what policies were violated, many assumed it was based on Boosie’s raunchy IG lives.
Boosie now says he believes the beef is more personal in nature. He claims Zuckerberg might be holding a grudge against him and is trying to get revenge because the “Wipe Me Down” rapper mispronounced his name in an infamous rant.
Boosie claims he’s being discriminated against because of his skin color, saying there’s a lot of other folks — presumably white celebrities and content creators– who got their Instagram pages back after being banned for doing way worse things.
While it doesn’t appear Boosie’s actually filed the suit yet, he’s already started another Instagram account but has complained that he can’t go live on the new account due to restrictions, claiming it’s “f******* up my income.”
