Boosie said he will be suing Rod Wave after failed attempts to settle a lyric dispute.
After the Louisiana native threatened legal action last month, Rod Wave proposed avoiding a lawsuit with a substantial settlement.
However, the rapper stated on Instagram Live Thursday that negotiations over the phone between him and Rod Wave failed to result in an agreement.
“I told dude, ‘Give me two hundred thousand and 25% of the record going forward and I’m not gone sue you or nothing bro,’” Boosie explained.
He expressed that he believed the proposed deal was fair, considering Rod Wave had already benefitted financially from the song, and added that the beef “made people choose sides in the industry,” which further cost him.
“This dude thought I was gone tell him two million,” Boosie claimed. Unfortunately, Wave offered to meet him “halfway with one fifty.”
“I got to get the 200,” he stated, ” I’m already spending 30 with my lawyer to sue you.”
He continued, “I tried to work with that dude. Now when the suit come, you gone pay me for emotional damages, Instagram… everything.”
