At this point, Boosie and the judicial system must have a love/hate relationship.
The “Wipe Me Down” rapper is facing theft of services charges after allegedly not paying a bill for three days of chauffeur service.
On Friday, Travis County issued a warrant for Boosie after he failed to pay his $2,500 bill. According to the arrest warrant, the charges stem from Boosie’s trip to Austin, Texas, from June 5th to 7th. Unfortunately, the amount Boosie now owes totals between $2,500 and $30,000, which has serious consequences in the state of Texas.
The situation started when Boosie’s manager requested a chauffeur pick up the rapper and his entourage in a sprinter van from Austin-Bergstrom International Airport. Over the course of three days, the driver escorted Boosie and his crew to several locations, including Walmart, a trampoline park, urgent care, the Round Rock Outlet Mall, and the federal courthouse for Boosie’s parole check-in.
The service seemed to be up to Boosie’s standards, especially since he even promoted the company on social media. Additionally, the driver reportedly told Boosie he would give him “a good price, just like I told your manager.” As a result, the rapper suggested that the promotion video could offset the service charges.
However, things took a turn for the worse when the chauffeur company didn’t receive the payment, as no arrangement was made for the promo video to cover the full cost of the service. To double down, the limo service also told authorities that there was no prior agreement that Boosie’s video would cancel out the financial responsibilities.
Later, the company made multiple attempts to contact Boosie and his manager, attaching an $8,000 invoice that was allegedly ignored. With no resolution, the company filed an official complaint in Austin, which led to the charges against Boosie. He is expected to appear in court on October 25th.Â
