It’s only been a few weeks since Poison Ivy, Boosie’s daughter, made headlines after publicly calling out her father, who made homophobic remarks about her sexuality during a live taping of Yung Miami’s “Caresha Please” podcast at REVOLT World in Atlanta last month. Known for his controversial comments, the ordeal was sparked when Boosie seemingly hinted at Ivy “contaminating” her other siblings with her sexuality.
Not long after, the internet went into a frenzy, especially since Ivy took to social media with a 15-minute long rant. In her video, Ivy didn’t hold back. She admitted that she isn’t the type of person to publicly express her feelings but she felt as though that was the route her father wanted to take.
“I’m completely fed up with holding my tongue #imhumantoo NEW TAPE IN OCT,” she captioned the post. “Smh papasmurf u can feel how u feel everybody is entitled to they own opinion but every chance u get you will not just bash me it’s not about u accepting it because I don’t need u to IM GROWN !! it can be you simply don’t like it and move on … you always rude [100 emoji] love you always !!”
As she continued to speak, Ivy became visibly upset while sharing that despite the issue she currently have with her father, she still hold a lot of respect for him, as well as her siblings. Ivy’s post was met with an outpour of support and even garnered a response from Boosie. Not long after Ivy’s post, an Instagram page that many believed to be Boosie’s official page, shared photos of him and Ivy, claiming that he never intended to hurt her.
However, in a recent interview with RealToonTv, Ivy addressed the situation once again, revealing that despite what social media says, she still hasn’t received an apology from Boosie or spoken privately with him to resolve their issues. In fact, she also shared that the Instagram page where the apologies came from, isn’t his official page.
“No, we haven’t had a deep talk about it,” she began. “I feel like he got to get ready to have a talk and I got to get ready to have a talk.”
She added, “That’s not for real. That’s what people don’t understand, that’s not his real page. So, that’s not him apologizing to me.”
Nonetheless, Ivy said that she is continuing to move forward despite her father’s feelings.
