Boston Celtics’ Jabari Bird Facing Additional Charges In Connection To Domestic Violence Incident After He Allegedly Threatened to Kill Girlfriend

On Wednesday, Boston Celtics guard Jabari Bird was slapped with two more charges in connection to a domestic violence incident with his girlfriend last year.

In the incident, which occurred on September 7th, officials said Bird attacked his girlfriend inside his Massachusetts apartment and terrorized her by choking, kicking and dragging her for four hours until he passed out from “seizure-like” symptoms. That’s when the woman planned her escape.

Shortly after, Bird was arrested and charged with assault and battery, strangulation and kidnapping. He later pleaded not guilty to those charges. But now, according to ESPN, the baller is facing even more charges in connection to the incident.

According to court docs obtained by the publication, Bird reportedly threatened to kill his girlfriend over the incident, saying, “tell anyone about this, I don’t care where you are I’ll find you and kill you.”

As a result, prosecutors added charges of witness intimidation and threatening to commit a crime, both of which he pleaded not guilty to in Wednesday’s hearing. In the meantime, according to ESPN, the baller is expected back in court on February 13.
