Brad Pitt’s $5.5 million Los Feliz estate was hit by burglars while the actor was thousands of miles away promoting his upcoming Formula 1 movie. On June 23rd, Pitt and his girlfriend were spotted on the red carpet in London. Just two nights later, on June 25th, around 10:30 p.m., intruders broke into the Hollywood star’s mansion.
The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed to KTLA that three suspects “climbed over a front fence and ransacked” the home, which is known as “The Steel House.” LAPD said the burglars gained entry through a front window and made off with an “unknown amount of miscellaneous property.” The exact items and value remain unclear.
Pitt has not publicly addressed the incident. His property, famously designed with sleek modern features, includes solar panels, a luxurious pool, and a built-in sauna, as reported by Page Six.
This break-in comes at a time when high-profile home invasions are on the rise in Los Angeles. TODAY reports that celebrities like Nicole Kidman, Tom Hanks, Patrick Mahomes, and Travis Kelce have all been recent targets. Just last month, a man was arrested after crashing through the gate of Jennifer Aniston’s home while she was inside.
While Pitt’s home was being looted, the actor was busy pushing the limits on a racetrack. According to Formula 1’s official site, he drove a 2023 McLaren at Austin’s Circuit of The Americas.
“I got to hit 197mph this week. I really wanted to hit 200,” Pitt shared on the Beyond the Grid podcast.
