Brandy’s back in the spotlight, and this time, she’s got everyone talking about her dream biopic casting.
While promoting her new thriller, The Front Room, she sat down with A24 and revealed who she’d want to play her in a movie about her life.
Brandy said, “There’s a few people that come to mind, but top of the dome, Halle Bailey.”
That pick didn’t come out of nowhere. Halle has called Brandy “such a role model” and has credited her for inspiring her portrayal of Ariel in The Little Mermaid. Halle’s talent and powerful vocals make it easy to see why Brandy would think she’s a perfect fit to play her in any biopic.
However, not all fans agree. While some say Halle would be a great choice, others say that Coco Jones would be an amazing fit.
Whether it’s Halle or Coco, it’s clear both of these ladies would be solid picks to play the legendary Brandy. Either way, fans would be in for a surprise.
