Bratz Releases Same-Sex Couple Dolls To Celebrate The LGBTQ+ Community

Bratz released a set of same-sex couple fashion dolls to celebrate self-expression, self-love, and the LGBTQ+ community.

The Pride collection is inspired by Bratz characters, Roxxi and Nevra. During Pride 2020, the two female characters came out as a couple. Roxxi came out as a lesbian, and Nevra came out as bisexual in a post made on Bratz social media.

“We are so excited to introduce this collection because so many of the fans who made Bratz what it is are part of the LGBTQ+ community and this is a way to honor them,” says Bratz creative director.

Bratz debuted Roxxi in 2004 as the lead singer of the bands Crash and Rock Angelz. Nevra came a year before Roxxi’s release. Bratz is now selling the two together as a couple that’s dressed up for a date at Stilesville Pride.

Famous designer JimmyPaul had the privilege of styling the Pride dolls. The designer combined his brand’s vibrancy and Bratz signature style and drew inspiration from the 1960s. During that time, the LGBTQ+ movement was gaining momentum and getting national attention.

“I hoped to infuse my personal flair and personal passion for my LGBTQ+ community into this collaboration,” Paul said. “The collection features bold and brave styles that I hope will resonate with fans and remind them to be their truest selves.”

The Roxxi and Nevra dolls are available for $79.99 at online retailers. Buyers will have access to limited-edition premium-wear JimmyPaul collection replicas of the dolls’ looks in adult sizes at JimmyPaul.com.

The collection includes a coat, ’60s ringer tees, glitter dress, and groovy jumpsuits. Limited-edition fashion tees will also be available at several retailers starting in mid-June.
