Parents were knucking and bucking at a California school board meeting over the controversy on including LGBTQ+ topics in classrooms.
Apparently, there were differences in opinion when the Glendale Unified School District held its meeting Tuesday. Nearly 200 people were in attendance and some took to the street over their concerns. With some supporting the proposed curriculum and others not.
Anti-LGBT+ protestors were seen hurling a slew of insults at the other side before the physical attacks escalate.
One man dressed in mint green is seen punching a woman in the crowd, while someone on a megaphone shouts for people to stop fighting.
Cops arrive on the scene to break up the chaos and ended up arresting at least 3 people. Police say a good number of the protestors were also at a North Hollywood elementary school the week before when another violent exchange took place.
Glendale school officials told news outlets that the district has been including the Pride-inclusive studies since 2019, but it’s a reconsideration meeting they hold every year for approval.
