Christmas has passed, and now it’s time to gear up for the new year with Dick Clark!
Santa Claus is closing up shop and heading back up to the North Pole. The countdown to the New Year is officially upon us. There’s no better way to bring in the New Year than to celebrate by watching Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve with Ryan Seacrest 2024, annually showcased by ABC and Dick Clark Productions.
Nineteen-time host Ryan Seacrest and his co-host Rita Ora will take over New York’s celebrations in Times Square with performances by Megan Thee Stallion, Tyla, Sabrina Carpenter, and Jelly Roll.Â
In the Los Angeles region, Jeannie Mai will host out of Hollywood, bringing out numerous acts, which include Bebe Rexha, Ludacris, Coco Jones, Janelle Monae, Doechii, Green Day, Loud Luxury, Two Friends, Renee Rapp, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Ellie Goulding, Paul Russell, Aqua and Nile Rodgers & Chic. Post Malone will join in from Las Vegas, with Ivy Queen from Puerto Rico and K-Pop sensations NewJeans from South Korea. Puerto Rican actress and singer Dayanara Torres will also connect with Seacrest as a co-host from her homeland.Â
According to Digitaltrends, the first New Year’s Rockin’ Eve special was put on in 1972 by Dick Clark, which evolved into an annual TV event for the following five decades. Even with Clark’s passing in 2012, his legacy lives on through his New Year’s Eve special with Ryan Seacrest, and the world looks forward to celebrating its 52nd year! Last year for 2022, the nationwide special held performances from artists such as Halle Bailey, Aly & AJ, Armani White, Wiz Khalifa, Shaggy, Bailey Zimmerman, Dove Cameron, and more.
This special event is the nation’s most-watched New Year’s Eve celebration and will begin at 8:00 pm ETÂ on December 31st. You can tune into the show live on ABC and listen in on the iHeartRadio app or across 150 iHeartRadio nationwide stations, including Z100 New York, 102.9 Dallas, KIIS-FM Los Angeles, and more.
